I originally designed the fox from a square, but it is much simpler, and much better, made from a 2 x 1 rectangle. It took me a long time to realise this; while I have never agreed with those purists who will only fold the square, I think I was blinded by a kind of "square-centrism". Thankfully, I have now recovered from this disease.

Purists can still try the original version of the fox. Although made from a square, in all other respects it is inferior.
